We encourage all our residents to treat Meadowside as if it were their own home. Many bring their own furniture, favourite pictures for the walls, and photographs of family. We aim to support independent living as much as possible, combined with a high degree of person-centred care tailored to each resident's specific needs.
Residents, families and friends enjoy open visiting hours, and we support those who wish to keep links to the local community — for example, attending church services, or outings to the garden centre, theatre, cinema, local shops and restaurants.
A minimum of two carers on duty during the day and at night — an unusually high staff-to-resident ratio that reflects our person-centred ethos.
A visiting hairdresser, chiropodist, optician, and a fitness & armchair-exercise instructor — plus the occasional visiting pet dog.
Open visiting for family and friends, support to attend church, and regular outings to local shops, cafés and the River Thames at Marlow.
